BTW, why do we put so much into celebrating the Mexican independence day when even they don't put much into celebrating it?

1) That was our dinner, we sleep during the day.
2) Cinco de Mayo is not Mexican independence day. And, part of the fun of being American is you get to appreciate all the wonderful cultures in our melting pot by coopting their holidays as an excuse to eat their food and drink their beer.
