Little-known value in Las Vegas: Bill's Gambling Hall & Saloon

If you are looking for an inexpensive room in Las Vegas but don't want to stay off-Strip or in a total dump, check out Bill's Gambling Hall & Saloon.  Although the casino part is kind of dumpy, I'm told the rooms are nice (my mother has stayed there) and the location can't be beat -- it's at the intersection Flamingo & Las Vegas Blvd., which is the same mid-Strip corner as Caesars Palace, Bellagio, and Bally's.

How about digging up a golf course "value" for us? I realize you don't golf, the idea of you swinging a golf club is absurd, but I'll be in Vegas in June. You must know some golfers.

Preferably something in the 5900-6100 yard range.

You know that it's 100 degrees in June, right? Probably not the best time to go golfing, unless you want to go EARLY before it gets to be too hot.

I golfed in late May in Vegas last year (the little Angel Park 9-hole) and the temp was around 90 and it was very pleasant. My body's on East Coast time so I'd be golfing early.
